Foolish,

Oh, how foolish of me

to think you could change

to think you would treat me kind

to think you should need me like I needed you

like friends so understanding would

like friends so strong should

like friends so sincere could

so foolish I was of you

so stupid I was of you

so dumb I was of you.

Loyal,

is all I’ve ever been

as a friend to another could

as a pal so happy together would

as a ‘someone’ in your life to lean on should

but why you do not appreciate me in return?

but why you treat me so cruel in return?

but why you belittle me in return?

so broken I was inside

so dying I was inside

so hurt I was inside.

Believe,

you intend not

those things you said?

those nasty things you did?

“I never meant those things I said to you!” - Bullshit!

“I have a split personality whenever I’m with you!” - Bullshit!

“I am terrible at expressing my feelings, but I appreciate you!” - BULLSHIT!

Maybe,

the fault was mine

expecting too much from you

expecting an ideal friend to be you

expecting a little kindness in return from you;

why can’t you say it’s your fault that everything’s gone?

why can’t you just say you did me wrong?

why can’t you just move along?

REALIZE,

that friends do hurt

that hearts could be broken

that you should talk what you preach

that people have feelings and emotions

that your EGO had ruined our friendship

before another soul bleeds

before another soul cries

before another soul leaves

before another soul dies.
