Have I Found Love? : A Poem
Have I Found Love? : A Poem
Scorned upon
is a love that transgresses boundaries
a love that cannot be celebrated
by a society, that close their eyes
silence their ears
intolerate their minds
with arrogance clouding their judgement
apatheic they are, towards you and me
all in the name of prejudice
to satisfy
a value they uphold
purely and entirely
masked by ego
Try as they might
to untie the bonds
we’ve stringed together
in our souls
but you and I
we are
unbreakable
strong
we are
something exquisite
something vivid
something beautiful
Blossomed
a desire for you
a longing
to be where you are
a craving
for your comforting words
your warm smile
your adorable sense of humour
your everything
time
seems to freeze
when we are together
the hours just fly by
when wonderful words are uttered
seems like forever
in a sea of admiration
a sea of affection
i drown easily in
fearlessly
without a worry
fate
must have known
how ached my heart was
alone and dejected
it seems destined
he brought you into my life
giving me a new spark of hope
a chance to be cared for
a chance to feel tenderness
a chance at love
that may be the start
of a beautiful journey
as one, we would endure

Hey, not bad! In fact, it’s a touching, mind-poking, heart-melting one!
Great job, Ali.
[I've long sensed that bit of 'red person' in you]
